We are wiping the slate clean and building a stronger, healthier foundation for the server. To kick off this fresh chapter, we’ve built the Tavern website from the ground up as a home base for our community! The Tavern is officially re-opening its doors!

If you told me a year ago how smooth this summer was going to roll, I probably would’ve laughed and gone back to tinkering on my setup. But here we are in the high heat of the season, and honestly? Things have been exceptionally solid. It’s funny how a few key gear upgrades, good food, and a steady routine can completely shift your daily momentum.
1. The Two-Wheeled Game Changer: The Birthday E-Scooter
For my birthday this year, I decided to pull the trigger on something I’ve had my eye on for a while: an e-scooter. I treated myself to it as a personal gift, and looking back, it was easily one of the most brilliant, high-utility decisions I’ve made in years. The sheer freedom of zipped-up localized travel is unmatched.
Pro Tip on Store Mobility: The absolute best part about having an e-scooter isn't just cruising down the pavement—it's the grocery and errand logistics. You can literally waddle it right beside you down the aisles of a shop like a hyper-futuristic shopping cart. No lock issues, no worrying about bike thieves outside, and zero hassle.
Ever since I bought it, it’s like the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon kicked into overdrive—I swear I see them everywhere now. It has completely transformed how I handle daily tasks around the neighborhood. Need to run a quick errand for one of the neighbors? Boom, hopped on the scooter. Need to make a swift run down to the local dispensary to grab fresh supplies? Easy 5-minute trip. No gas, no traffic stress, just smooth riding.
2. High Table Standards: Birthday Feast at Sushi Paradise
To celebrate the actual birthday, my dad, my sister, and I packed up and headed over to Sushi Paradise in St. Catharines. If you know me, you know I have a strict, non-negotiable love for Salmon Nigiri. It is the gold standard. Naturally, I ordered my usual loadout—a massive spread of pristine Salmon Nigiri, classic rolls, and a side of piping hot, crispy tempura.
However, since it was a birthday feast, I decided to expand my culinary palate and try a few additions I don't usually order:
